Battle of the Brits Scotland vs England, media management
Jamie Murray and Mary Greenham’s Battle of the Brits domestic tennis events have been one of the big success stories for a sport which had multiple cancellations and lost tournaments forced on it by the COVID-19 pandemic. After three ground-breaking tournaments held at the National Tennis Centre in Roehampton in 2020, Jamie and Mary brought us on board to manage media for a new, more ambitious Battle of the Brits - Scotland versus England tournament to be played in front of a packed crowd at Aberdeen’s P & J Live arena in December.
The event will feature Sir Andy Murray playing alongside Jamie and Cameron Norrie for Scotland against British No.1 Dan Evans and former Australian Open doubles champion Joe Salisbury. It will be a big thrill to see all of these players taking part in one of the oldest rivalries in sport and a wonderful - and rare - opportunities for Scottish sports fans to see heroes Andy and Jamie Murray playing under the Saltire.
Judging by the extensive media coverage and very buoyant ticket sales so far, it seems like we’re not to only ones getting excited.
